Bioimpedance Analysis (BIA)

Bioimpedance analysis is a self-measurement made with the latest generation of medical scale that provides a detailed description of body composition.

How does it work?

The body tissues, muscle mass, fat mass and bones conduct current in a different way, being characterized by its own specific impedance. On the basis of this principle it is possible to distinguish and measure the muscle mass, fat mass and the amount of water in the body.
This method to determine the body composition is fast, non-invasive and repeatable and comparable because the result does not depend on the person who carries out the measurement.
